Hazelden is nearly synonymous with drug and alcohol addiction treatment. But they do so much more. Hazelden needed their Website to communicate the breadth and depth of their expertise, and serve all the organization’s audiences well.

Our Solution

By emphasizing Hazelden’s leadership position in prevention, education, research and advocacy, we helped site visitors understand that the organization’s expertise extends far beyond addiction treatment and recovery management. Hazelden’s integrated approach to what it knows, does, learns, teaches, advocates and publishes proves the organization’s “best experience, outcomes and value” promise across the entire care continuum.

Drawing on business objectives and goals outlined in Hazelden’s 5-year plan, we established the strategic foundation for redesigning Hazelden’s site with our creative partner, Azul 7. We re-architected the site to help Hazelden show its story more effectively, not just tell it. Our experiential approach to information architecture, interface design and content allowed us to make users’ needs and expectations primary while still satisfying the organization’s need to inform, educate and engage site visitors.
